The Original Vienna Strudel Show

The Cafe Residenz in Vienna, Austria offers a unique experience for visitors called the "Strudelshow." During this show, guests can watch as expert bakers create delicious traditional apple strudel from scratch right before their eyes. The bakers use a special technique to stretch the dough thin enough to read a newspaper through, and fill it with a sweet apple filling made with locally sourced ingredients. The Strudelshow is a fun and interactive way to learn about Austrian culinary traditions and enjoy a tasty treat.

From Wednesday to Sunday and on public holidays at 10am, 11am, 2pm, and 3pm.

Note: There will be no strudel shows between January 9th and March 21st, 2023. Generally, reservations are not possible for our strudel show dates. We are happy to receive individual inquiries outside of our regular opening hours at residenz@cafe-wien.at.
